Yes, though it takes a longer view. Dark hair lifts through red and orange stages on the way to lighter, so a colorist will usually go two or three levels at a time across more than one visit rather than forcing it in a single session and compromising the ends.
Blending, yes — lighter tones woven through the gray so it reads as dimension rather than regrowth. Full gray coverage is a different service and belongs on our highlights and color page, since coverage needs an even application at the root that freehand painting cannot give.
