Brow shaping, waxing and facials — the quiet half of the “and Spa.”
Waxing in Belmont is the service people book almost as an afterthought and then notice more than anything else they had done. A brow shaped to the bone rather than to a trend does more for a face than most haircuts. Robert’s Salon and Spa has offered waxing and facials on Leonard Street alongside the hair side for years, in a room away from the noise of the floor.
This is deliberately a small part of what we do, and we keep it that way. There is no upselling into a package here and no menu of treatments nobody asked for. Most clients add fifteen minutes of brow work onto an appointment they were already booked for, and that is exactly how it should work.
The one worth booking regularly. We shape to the bone structure you have rather than to whatever brow shape is current, which is why the result still looks right two years later. About fifteen minutes, and easy to slot in while color processes.
Quick, routine, and usually booked alongside brows. Nothing about it needs a separate trip.
Underarm, arm, leg and back waxing by appointment. Book these ahead rather than as an add-on, since they need their own time in the room.
Facials are by appointment and begin with a look at your skin rather than a pre-set protocol — what it is doing now, what you use at home, and what you are actually hoping changes. Expect cleansing, exfoliation, extraction where it is wanted, and a mask suited to the day rather than the season.
This is an unhurried service in a quiet room, not a production. If you have somewhere to be afterward, tell us when you book and we will keep to it.
A brow wax fits inside the processing time on almost any color service, which is how most of our clients book it. If you are coming in for a cut and blow dry, mention it when you reserve and we will hold the fifteen minutes rather than trying to find it on the day.
About a quarter of an inch, or roughly two to three weeks of growth. Shorter than that and the wax has nothing to grip, which means a patchy result and a second pass. If you shave between appointments, give it the full two weeks before coming in.
Yes, and it is the most common way clients book it. A brow wax takes about fifteen minutes and can usually be done while color is processing. Mention it when you book so we can hold the time rather than fitting it in.
Every three to four weeks keeps a shape without letting it grow out entirely between visits. If you are growing brows back in after over-tweezing, come in less often and let us tidy only the strays while the shape fills.
Stop retinol on the area about five days beforehand. Retinoids and acids thin the surface of the skin, and waxing over them can lift more than hair. Tell us what you are using when you arrive and we will adjust or reschedule.
Briefly, and less than most people expect after the first time. Brows are the quickest area and the one most clients describe as barely worth mentioning. Avoid caffeine beforehand if you are sensitive, and skip it in the few days before your period when skin is more reactive.
Belmont Center parking is a short walk from the door, which is the point when the appointment itself is only fifteen minutes.
