Robert’s Salon and Spa has been cutting and coloring hair on Leonard Street in Belmont Center for more than thirty years. What started as a neighborhood salon now draws clients from Arlington, Waltham, Cambridge, Watertown and Lexington — most of them for color, which is what we are known for.
The menu below is the whole of it. Color and highlights, lived-in and hand-painted work, cuts for women and men, blowouts and occasion styling, keratin smoothing, and waxing and facials. Our colorists work with Goldwell professional color and Kérastase treatments, and every color service begins with a consultation before anything is mixed. Google reviewers rate the salon 4.7 stars across 106 reviews.
Single process color, partial and full foil highlights, gray coverage and blending, gloss and toner, and color correction. This is the busiest part of the salon by a wide margin. One process color with a blow dry is $160; partial foils start at $150.
Hand-painted color for people who would rather not be back in six weeks. Balayage, root smudging, teasylights and money-piece work all grow out softly instead of leaving a line at the part. Balayage starts at $195.
Cut, shampoo and blow dry, with the shape built around how your hair actually behaves between appointments rather than how it looks the hour you leave. The most-booked single service on the menu.
Clipper and scissor cuts, in and out without a wait when the book allows. Men’s gray blending and color is $85 with a cut. Nearly seven hundred men’s cuts came through the salon in the first eight months of this year.
Shampoo and blow dry on its own, or occasion styling for a wedding, a reunion or a photograph you will keep. Add a blow dry to any color service and leave finished rather than damp.
Keratin and Brazilian Blowout smoothing for frizz and humidity, plus Kérastase Fusio-Dose treatments at the bowl. Results last months, not days. Starts with a consultation.
Pricing depends on hair length, density, and how much product and time a result takes. These are honest starting points, and we confirm your price at consultation before we begin.
An appointment is the safest way to get the time and the stylist you want, especially for color. Walk-ins are welcome when the book allows, and cuts can often be fitted in the same day. Book online any time or call 617-489-7733.
Color correction and keratin smoothing both start with a consultation, because the price and the timing depend on the condition and history of your hair. Consultations are quick, and we confirm your price before anything is mixed or applied.
Yes, and most clients do. Color with a cut and blow dry is the most common combination and is priced as a package. Book the longest service first when you reserve online, and the salon will build the rest of the appointment around it.
Goldwell professional color, including the Colorance demi-permanent line, and Kérastase for treatments and at-the-bowl work. Moroccanoil and a small retail shelf of what we use day to day are available at the front desk.
The salon sits in the middle of Belmont Center with municipal parking a short walk away, which is why clients drive in from surrounding towns rather than fighting for a space closer to home.
