Hair Salon Serving Lexington, MA

Expert color, highlights and corrections — about fifteen minutes south in Belmont Center.
Lexington, Massachusetts

Worth the fifteen minutes

Lexington is the furthest of the towns we serve, and the clients who come from there almost all come for the same reason: color they do not want to gamble on. Robert’s Salon and Spa is at 66 Leonard Street in Belmont Center, about fifteen minutes south of Lexington Center, and a number of our Lexington regulars have been sitting in the same chair here for a decade or more.

For more than 30 years we have built the business on color: dimensional foil highlights, single-process shades, gray blending that grows out softly, and corrections that rescue what happened somewhere else. Cuts, blowouts, smoothing treatments and spa services round out the menu, so the whole visit happens in one place.

Why Lexington Clients Make the Drive

Fifteen minutes is a real decision, so it is fair to ask what is at the other end of it:

Color you only have to get right once.

Roughly two-thirds of what we do is color work — foils, single process, gray blending, gloss and correction — using Goldwell professional color and Kérastase treatments.

Colorists who are still here next year.

Some of our stylists have worked the same station for well over a decade. If you have ever had to explain your formula to a stranger because the last one left, you know what that is worth.

Corrections, done properly.

Color correction is one of the things our master colorists do most. Some are a single visit, some are staged across several to protect the condition of your hair — and we will tell you which at the consultation, not halfway through.

You will not be parking at a meter and watching the clock.

Belmont Center has municipal lots a short walk from the door, so a three-hour foil appointment does not turn into a parking problem.

Questions we get asked

Lexington Client Questions

How far is Robert's Salon and Spa from Lexington, MA?
We are at 66 Leonard Street in Belmont Center. From Lexington Center most clients reach us in about fifteen minutes off-peak, coming down through the Route 2 corridor. From East Lexington it is closer to twelve.
That depends on what you are booking. For a quick trim, probably not. For color you intend to keep for months, fifteen minutes is a small price for a colorist who knows your history and will still be here next year. Most of our Lexington clients come for color.
Not easily. Lexington has no commuter rail or subway station, and the bus routes serving the town run toward Alewife rather than toward Belmont. Nearly every client coming from Lexington drives, and parking at this end is straightforward.
We do, and a steady group of Lexington regulars have been with us for years. New clients are welcome. For color we would suggest booking a consultation first so we can plan the service and confirm pricing before you make the drive.
