Hair Salon Serving Waltham, MA

Expert color, highlights and cuts — a straight run east along Trapelo Road.
Waltham, Massachusetts

Four miles and one road

Waltham has no shortage of places to get your hair cut. What it has fewer of is a colorist who will still be standing behind the same chair in three years. Robert’s Salon and Spa is at 66 Leonard Street in Belmont Center — about four miles east of Waltham Center, most of it a single road — and Waltham is our third-largest group of clients after Belmont and Arlington.

For more than 30 years we have built the business on color: dimensional foil highlights, single-process shades, gray blending that grows out softly, and corrections that fix what happened somewhere else. Cuts, blowouts, smoothing treatments and spa services fill out the menu, so the whole visit happens in one place rather than three.

Why Waltham Clients Make the Trip

Most of our Waltham regulars started as someone’s recommendation and stayed because of the color. A few practical reasons they keep making the drive:

You are two stops away on the train.

Waltham and Belmont Center sit on the same commuter line, two stops apart, roughly seven minutes of running time. Almost nobody thinks of it, and it beats the drive in weekday traffic.

Color is the specialty, not a sideline.

Roughly two-thirds of what we do is color work, using Goldwell professional color and Kérastase treatments.

Parking that does not cost you the appointment.

Metered spaces on Leonard Street and municipal lots a short walk away. Anyone who has circled Moody Street on a Saturday knows the difference.

A deep enough bench for real availability.

A full team of master colorists and stylists, including evening appointments — you are not waiting three weeks for a Thursday.
